Craig Dolby is now officially set to be back behind the wheel in Superleague Formula for the 2011 season after the football-themed series announced the first names in its driver line-up.
With the season-opener in Assen less than three weeks away on the weekend of June 4-5, Superleague has revealed that his fellow series veterans Australian John Martin and German Max Wissel will also be lining up on the grid.
They are due to be joined by series newcomer Filip Salaquarda, from the Czech Republic, who will join the Atech Reid GP team following a successful winter test.
Dolby, championship runner up for the past two seasons in the Tottenham Hotspur car, will once again partner with Alan Docking Racing, also Martin’s likely destination.
However, it has not yet been confirmed which team Wissel will drive for, nor which football squads will be represented by which racing teams.
Frenchman and former GP2 competitor Franck Perera is expected to drive for Azerti Motorsport in a car representing FC Girondins de Bordeaux, where he will replace his compatriot Franck Montagny. Perera also competed in Superleague last year.
Football squads expected to be in the mix include Sporting Clube de Portugal, Anderlecht, Porto and PSV Eindhoven.
