It’s the run-in to perhaps the most exciting date in the F1 calendar – Spa-Francorchamps, a track deep in the Ardennes but nonetheless with enough drama to single-handedly do away with Belgium’s reputation for being boring.
For the last three races it’s been Kimi Raikkonen’s circuit, and the current world champion also holds the fastest lap record, which he set in a McLaren in 2004.
With Raikkonen under pressure to perform, and the title contest still wide open, this should be the race that has everything.
Will it also have rain? The BBC 5-day weather forecast for the Spa region currently has light showers or rain forecast for all three days of the race weekend. Click on the above link to keep up with the very latest weather news.
