Mike Conway, whose GP2 season with Super Nova was mixed but at times highly promising, is to test for Honda’s F1 team.
The former Macau Grand Prix winner, who is managed by Martin Brundle and Mark Blundell at 2MB Sports Management, will test at Barcelona next month alongside Luca Filippi and Andreas Zuber.
Honda’s sporting director, Ron Meadows, said the aim of the session would be to assess the drivers’ skills, with a possible view to a future testing role.
He said: “Honda is committed to developing promising young talent in motor sport and we will take this opportunity to have a closer look at three young drivers who have done very well in the GP2 series this year.
“We will also be evaluating their potential to assist Honda in the future with our testing requirements.”
