Time for our second round-up of the photos we used on the front page of our site, a more-or-less fortnightly collection of the best or most newsworthy pictures from the teams, suppliers and series.
This collection is dominated by the two big events of the open wheel racing calendar, the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500.

But there is also room for the launch of Formula Two, a couple of shots from last year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, and the sombre scenes as the late Joe Tandy is remembered.

- F3: Nick Tandy dedicates maiden win to late brother
Tributes were paid in the pitlane at Rockingham to team boss, engineer and former driver Joe Tandy, who had recently died in a car crash. Later in the day his brother Nick drove one of his cars to a maiden victory. Read more. Photo: British F3 International Championship 
- Hamilton to demonstrate Senna’s McLaren at Goodwood

- IRL: Indy 500 win makes Helio’s comeback complete
The rollercoaster career of Helio Castroneves took another major leap skywards when he converted pole position at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway into his third Indy 500 victory. - F1: Button’s Monaco victory extends Brawn’s dominance
Jenson Button continued his dominance of the 2009 Formula One season with an unruffled victory from pole in Monaco, leading home team-mate Rubens Barrichello for Brawn GP’s third 1-2 finish of the season. The month-long build up to the 93rd running of the Indianapolis 500 mixed on-track action in practice and qualifying with an endless round of PR opportunities and TV appearances. - Indy Lights: Last-minute Howard grabs fourth in thriller
Jay Howard, in the orange and blue Palm Beach International Raceway car, made the most of a last-minute call-up for the Indy Lights Firestone Freedom 100 to take a careful fourth place in a race of wheel-to-wheel action and high attrition. Read more. Photo: IRL / Jessica Hoffman 
- IRL: Conway grabs his place in the Indy 500
Mike Conway shrugged off the after-effects of his high-speed crash and hospital stay to provisionally qualify for the Indianapolis 500 with a four-lap average speed of 220.124mph that put him 28th in the field of 33.
